The focus of the fifth music salon is a colorful figure of French Romanticism, George Sand.
The salon treats the relationship between the writer George Sand and her colleague Alfred de Musset. During their two-year relationship, Sand and de Musset exchanged pointedly witty, passionate and sometimes humorous correspondence about art, love and life. The salon traces the tense relationship between the two authors in the proven entertaining combination of scenic dialogue and music.
The musical program consists of chamber music (flute, violin and piano) and vocal works by Cecile Chaminade, Francis Poulenc, Gabriel Faure, Georges Bizet and Franz Liszt.
